These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ComfyUI Houdini Bridge subscription service ("Service") operated by Peter Schings ("we", "us", "our"). By subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

1. What You Are Paying For — And What You Are Not

Your subscription is for our service, not for the open-source software itself. The underlying plugin is free software and always will be.

Your subscription includes:

Hosting and distribution of the ComfyUI Houdini Bridge Manager application
Curated workflow packages — pre-built and maintained ComfyUI workflows created by us, optimized for use within Houdini
Automatic updates to workflows and the Manager application
License validation infrastructure and related backend services
Customer support via email

Your subscription does not include and you are not paying for:

The open-source ComfyUI Houdini Bridge plugin itself
Any rights beyond what the GPLv3 license already grants to everyone for free
Access to ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, or any third-party AI service

The ComfyUI Houdini Bridge plugin is developed and maintained by CapybaraCrowporation and distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPLv3). The complete source code is — and will remain — freely available to everyone at:

Anyone can download, use, modify, and redistribute the plugin for free under the terms of the GPLv3. No subscription is required to use the open-source plugin on its own.

2. Alpha Status

The Service is currently provided in alpha. Features, workflows, and the Manager application may change, break, or be discontinued without prior notice.

We make no guarantees regarding:

Stability — the software may crash, produce errors, or behave unexpectedly
Compatibility — conflicts with other Houdini plugins, custom configurations, or specific Houdini versions may occur
Uptime — backend services may experience downtime for maintenance or unforeseen issues
Data integrity — we are not responsible for any loss of work, scenes, or project data resulting from the use of this software

By subscribing, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

3. ComfyUI API Access

The ComfyUI Houdini Bridge is a plugin that connects Houdini to ComfyUI. It does not include or guarantee access to any ComfyUI instance, API endpoint, or compute resources.

To use API-based workflows, you must provide your own API key ("Bring Your Own Key" / BYOK) from a supported ComfyUI provider, or run a local ComfyUI installation. We are not affiliated with and do not represent any third-party API provider.

4. Subscription & Billing

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) through Stripe.
You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5. License Key

Each subscription grants a personal license tied to your email address. You may use it on any machine.
License keys are for personal use only. Sharing, redistributing, or reselling license keys is prohibited and may result in revocation.

6. Open-Source Acknowledgment & Credits

This service would not exist without the work of the open-source community. We want to be transparent about what we built on and who deserves credit.

The ComfyUI Houdini Bridge plugin is open-source software created by CapybaraCrowporation, licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. In accordance with that license:

You are free to use, modify, and redistribute the plugin under the same GPLv3 license terms — with or without our subscription
We do not restrict, limit, or gatekeep any rights granted by the GPLv3
Our subscription service adds managed hosting, curated workflow packages, and convenience tooling on top of the open-source base

We are grateful to the CapybaraCrowporation team and all contributors to the ComfyUI and Houdini open-source ecosystems for making this possible.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peter Schings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or production time — arising out of your use of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify subscribers via the email address associated with their account. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
